Background:
Tyler joins UMBC after an outstanding high school career at Fair Lawn.  Physical player that is able to bury the puck.  Finished at Fair Lawn as the all-time leading scorer with 137 goals and 241 points over his four year career.  He is also Top 10 all-time in New Jersey for goals.  Made Varsity as a freshman and earned All-League Honors.  Led North Jersey in points as a Sophomore with 84 points and was named 1st Team All Bergen County, 1st Team NBIAL, and 3rd Team All State Public.  Named Team Captain for his Junior and Senior year.  Finished high school career as 1st Team All State Public, North Jersey Player of the Year, and All Tri-County 1st Team.  Played Youth and Junior hockey for the North Jersey Avalanche.
