2008-09: Had most productive year in Retriever sweater with 22 goals, 44 assists, and 20 penalty minutes. Moved into 9th overall UMBC All-time Scoring with 160 career points. Selected to MACHA All-Star team.
2007-08: Maintained focus and continued strong play with the Retrievers. Effective in all situations and plays consistently well. Alex tallied 31 games, 51 points, 23, and 26 penalty minutes in his Sophmore season.
2006-07: Adapted quickly to the college game and received UMBC's Top Rookie award. Helped to anchor the second line with Team Captain John Fetscher. Completed season with 31 games, 43 points, 12, and 34 penalty minutes.
Background: Alex comes from the Stepinac Crusaders and Snapple Express. He is a very strong and fluid skater with dynamic speed and agility. Received team MVP his Junior and Senior years at Stepinac. Was named All-County Player of the Year his senior year.
Brother, Chris also played hockey at UMBC. Son of Pat and Ed Post. Born June 18, 1988.
