Assistant Coach Brinton spent the past 6 seasons at Penn State University accumulating an overall record of 60-41-5 as a Head Coach. He started as an Assistant Coach in charge of the defense for the Men's Division II team, helping them to consecutive National Tournament appearances. In 2005, he was named Head Coach for the Division I Lady Icers. He led the Icers to a combined 30-22-0 record and back to the National Tournment for the first time in 3 years. In fall 2007 Brinton moved to Head Coach of the Division II Men's hockey team, amassing a 30-19-5 record with consecutive ACHA Regional Tournament appearances.
Prior to coaching Brinton played hockey for 13 seasons. He played Tier I AAA for the Pittsburgh Hornets and qualified for Tier II Nationals with the Beaver County Badgers. He played in college for Penn State Division II Ice Lions.
Brinton graduated from Penn State in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering and currently works as a Manufacturing Engineer at The Manitowoc Company Inc. Coach Brinton is extremely excited to join a staff and team with so much promise and potential. He brings additional experience and knowledge to the staff, and looks to help take the program to the elite level.
