Background:
Jon competed at the AAA level for the majority of his youth hockey career.  He started with the New Jersey Devils and North Jersey Avalanche Youth programs.  In 2005, he led the Avalanche to the Tier I National Championship over the LA Hockey Club.  He moved into Midget Major with S2 in the Tier 1 Elite League as a Junior in high school.  He finished the season with a 7-12 record, 2.75 GAA, and 91.1 Save %.  Jon went to the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets for the 2009-10 season, posting a 17-12-5 record, 3.26 GAA, 2 Shutouts, and 90.8 Save %.  He attended the 2010 USHL Prospect Prospect Combine and was selected by Corpus Christi in the 2010 NAHL Entry Draft.    Spent the 2010-11 season with the Texas Tornadoes of the North American Prospect League (NAPHL).  Finished with a 10-11 record, 2.86 GAA, and 90.5 Save %.

Son of Diane and Charles Drago. Has two brothers, Charles at Western New England College and AJ a Second Lieutenant and West Point graduate. Born March 22, 1992.
