Background:
An aggressive hardworking player that is a physical presence on the ice, and consistently drives to the net.  Brandon played high school hockey at DeMatha Catholic, helping lead the Stags to a MAPHL Championship in his Junior year. A 2nd All Tournament Team selection for MAPHL Playoffs, 2006-07 DeMatha Coaches Award, and 2007-08 Unsung Hero.  Upshaw finished out his senior season with 35 points in 38 games and was a Washington Post Honorable Mention All-Met.  He also competed with Team Maryland AAA of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League during his Junior year of high school.

Son of Karyn and Gregory Upshaw. Has a sister, Kamille.  Born January 27, 1991.
