UMBC is very pleased to welcome Bob Johnson as our Broadcast Anchor during this innaugural Webcast season.  He will be handling the play-by-play and color commentary for all UMBC home games to be Webcast live from Piney Orchard Arena, enabling our fans and parents across the country to join the team live throughout the season.

Bob is a member of the National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers and, in the summer, is the public address announcer for the Bethesda Big Train in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League.  In addition to announcing, Bob's voice is heard on various other voice-over services including industrial narrations, recruitment videos, public service announcements, and iPod museum tours.  He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Maryland/College Park and currently resides in Vienna, Virginia.
