Background:
Alan joins UMBC after playing the last two seasons for the Frederick Freeze Jr B program of the Continental Hockey Association (CHA).  Possess excellent vision and is able to find the player in the right position.  He was a 2-time CHA All-star and Assistant Captain for the Freeze.   Averaged almost 2 points per game his senior year, finishing the season as the 6th leading scorer in the league with 61 points in 34 CHA games.
